Pound Cake with Butter Cream Icing

Pound Cake

1/2 lb. (2 sticks butter)
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp .baking soda1
1 c. sour cream
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. orange extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Bake at 325 degrees for one hour and 20 minutes in a buttered and floured pan.

Butter Cream Icing

3/4 c. butter
3-4 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp almond extract

With electric mixer, cream butter in a large mixing bowl.
Slowly beat in the sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add almond extract and blend.
